Advanced Organic Chemistry Question?

While acid catalyzed aldol condensations are not unheard of, I did not find an examples in Organic Synthesis. Acid catalyzed enolizations are common, for example, acid catalyzed brominations require an acid catalysis. Therefore, I am inclined to agree with Steve on this one.
