HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OVER YOUR EX?

my girlfriend and I broke up 2 1/2 months ago after a year long relationship. I'm still not over her and the bad thing is is we still hang. Is this causing more heartache? How long does it take to get over an ex? I need advise here.
