Bronchitis or a chest infection?

I've had this cold, or whatever it is, for a few days, and it's affected my lungs the most. When I breath, it sounds like rice krispies in milk, and I cough up this gross green/brown stuff into my tissue. I have also noticed that it has a nasty odor. (Has kind of an ammonia smell). I was thinking it's a chest infection, or maybe even bronchitis. I've had chest infections before, but not with these symptoms. What do think it is? I don't feel sick enough to take a trip to the doctor, and I don't really have the time either.
